Our Story

It was a dark stormy night… No actually it was a clipboard passed around during the 2016 San Jose Saxophone Christmas by Phillip Myers.  His idea was to establish a saxophone ensemble similar to the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain, yet provide an outlet for amateur musicians to perform more often than once a year. Our focus has expanded since.  We are a 501(c)(3) Public Non-Profit with our goal to provide performance opportunities to saxophone players.  We mentor less experienced players, welcome older saxophonists returning to music and challenge everyone to perform our unique mix of music arranged for the saxophone ensemble.

We are the San Jose Saxophone Choir!
